The Human Development Clinic is a multipurpose
counseling center operated by the Department of Counseling and Special Education. The Clinic is staffed by licensed
professional counselors and psychologists. Graduate counselors
completing the final requirements for their Masters of Arts
degree in Counseling provide continuing clinical services.
The Human Development Clinic is a non-profit organization.
Services Provided
- General Counseling for emotional problems
and life adjustment concerns
- Couples and family counseling
- Individual counseling for children, adolescents,
and adults
- Career and employment counseling
- Consultation with community agencies,
groups, and schools
Cost
The Human Development Clinic is a non-profit
training unit of Central Michigan University. In order to
provide materials used by clients, and funds for graduate
student training, fees are charged on a sliding scale. The
sliding scale takes into consideration the base salary, after
taxes, as well as the number of dependents in the family.
Counseling services are generally free to students and families
with incomes less than $5,000 per year.

Clinic Hours
The Clinic is open evenings during Fall and Spring semesters,
and days and evenings during Summer semesters, according the
