
Sherene McHenry is an associate
professor in the Counseling and Special Education Department
at CMU. She has a Ph.D. in Counselor Education from the
University of Wyoming, a M. Ed. in Student Personnel Services
from the University of South Carolina, and a B.S. in Business
Management from Wingate University.
Sherene teaches courses in marriage
and family, career, and group counseling as well as
practicum and human relation skills. Sherene published
her first book Career and Self Exploration, a textbook
for undecided undergraduates, in 1999. She is almost
finished with her second book focusing on relationships
and marital satisfaction.
Sherene had published articles on
clinical supervision and provided introductory supervision
training throughout Michigan, as well as for the American
Counseling Association. Sherene is also a featured expert for the new online resource MotheringMoms.com. She is a national speaker,
and in addition to teaching at CMU, has taught in
Canada and China.
